This is the beginning of the journey of George Rae through a BA Hons in Photography entering into 3rd Year at City Of Glasgow College The blog is going to have to catch up to the program as I have had to learn new ICT skills in order to create my website and blog page. It will happen do not adjust your set!
The course began with and enrolment and induction day at the college on Wednesday 16th August 2026 prior to start of the course on Tuesday 1st September 2026. The start was successful, the bus service ran on time and I found the class. Day one as is normal was about introduction to lecturers and course material along with expectations of performance levels regarding work and attendance (great expectations)
Between induction and start day I decided to go along to the Stirling Photography Festival and attend some talks on documentary photography which is a serious interest of mine. I was fortunate to hear Dr Neil Goodwin CBE talk on his documentary 'The Other Blackpool' which was insightful and as a listener in the audience it felt as if it was something he felt passionate about.
This has been a great start to my journey, please join me.
